Module 2 of 2 — reasonable adjustments, accessible information, interpreters, dignity in the chair, and how the practice responds when a patient or colleague behaves badly.

Course aim

Give every team member a practical way to treat patients and colleagues fairly, recognise discrimination, and make reasonable adjustments so the practice is usable — not only a poster on the wall.

2 hours in two modules: this is 2 of 2. Complete them in numerical order: 1, then 2. Both stay open — there is no lock. This series is dedicated EDI training. Legal and Ethical still covers consent and records; it does not replace this course.

What you will be able to do

  1. 1Describe reasonable adjustments for disabled patients and staff without waiting for a formal letter
  2. 2Use accessible information and professional interpreters instead of children as translators
  3. 3Protect dignity, privacy and chosen names or pronouns in the chair and at the desk
  4. 4Challenge or escalate harassment from patients or colleagues using the practice process

The two-module series

  • 1: The law and fair treatment
  • This module — 2: Adjustments, communication and culture

Use Start course below to begin at lesson 1. Later lessons unlock as you complete each step.

Suitable for: the whole team, including reception, clinicians, and practice managers.

Always follow current equality law in your UK nation, GDC Standards, and your written practice policies. This course is knowledge CPD, not legal advice.
