A 1-hour course on running a dental practice as a workplace: risk assessment, competent people, accidents, and RIDDOR — not a poster in a drawer.
Course aim
Give the team a working grasp of UK health and safety duties so hazards are assessed, incidents are reported, and staff know who is accountable on a Monday morning.
What you will be able to do
- 1Explain employer, employee and principal duties in a dental workplace
- 2Use a simple risk-assessment cycle: hazard, who might be harmed, control, review
- 3Describe when an accident or dangerous occurrence may need RIDDOR reporting
- 4Keep training, first-aid and contractor controls that match real life
Suitable for: the whole team, including reception and practice managers.
Always follow current HSE guidance and your written practice procedures. Fire, COSHH and manual handling have their own 1-hour courses. This course is knowledge CPD, not a premises survey.
