A 1-hour course on what to do when something is unsafe, dishonest or abusive — including when the person causing the problem is the principal.
Course aim
Give every team member a lawful, patient-first way to raise a concern inside the practice and, when that fails or is impossible, outside it.
What you will be able to do
- 1Tell the difference between a gripe, a complaint, and a patient-safety or professionalism concern
- 2Use the practice raising-concerns route and keep a factual record
- 3Describe when GDC, CQC, the employer, or another body may need to hear it
- 4Support a colleague who speaks up, and avoid punishing the messenger
Suitable for: the whole team, including reception and practice managers.
Always follow current GDC guidance on raising concerns and your written whistleblowing policy. This course is knowledge CPD, not a verdict on a colleague.
