2. The loads dentistry actually moves

Deliveries

Water bottles, copier paper, gypsum, disinfectant drums. Meet the courier at the right door. Do not accept a pallet at the top of a spiral stair as a personality test.

Equipment

Compressors, suction motors, and chair modules are engineer jobs plus a handling plan. Unplug, wait for cool, know the weight, use the manufacturer’s lifting points. Two people who have agreed the count (“1-2-3-lift”) beat four people grabbing random corners.

Clinical

Instrument trays are light until you twist to a high shelf all day. Store between mid-thigh and shoulder where you can. Push a trolley; do not carry a stack you cannot see over.

How to lift when you must

Stable base, load close, spine as neutral as the task allows, legs do the work, no jerk, no twist-and-lift combined. Put it down with the same control. If you cannot see your feet, the load is too big.

Team lift

Same height if possible, one caller, walk the route first, doors already open. If someone shouts stop, you stop — the box can wait.
